North and South Arapahoe Peaks, July 2005
Wild flowers were gorgeous on this hike in mid July, but I
only had the little Canon powershot camera with a dying battery, so
not much for photographic evidence. The
ridge to North Arapahoe is a fun rock scramble, sometimes with quite a
bit of exposure. The south peak is very popular, but not many make it
over to the north. Wind was howling all day, and storms moved in as we
got off the ridge again, but nothing too much exciting in the
lightening bolt department.
